Our staff team have been very busy over the past couple of weeks, showing such dedication after the nursery is closed, to attend a number of training sessions.
On Tuesday 26th April, Becky and Katy led a full team safeguarding child protection training workshop, covering topics such as identifying different types of abuse and what signs and symptoms to look for, identifying the factors of increased risk and vulnerability for abuse and how to respond to disclosures that are made.
We were also joined by Phil from GDT Fire Extinguishers Ltd on Wednesday 4th May who talked us through different causes of fire and potential hazards, in particular those that could start within our setting and trained us on what to do in the event of a fire, demonstrating how to use different types of fire extinguishers or a fire safety blanket.
